UNDERGRADUATE UNIVERSITY TRACK PROGRAM

CESL's Undergraduate University Track at the UA provides ESL learners with an opportunity to take UA courses while continuing their ESL studies at CESL. Undergraduate U-Track UA courses are sheltered, English-immersion, credit-bearing courses. Each UA course in the Undergraduate U-Track is paired with a CESL class that is designed to support student learning in the UA course.

Additionally, Undergraduate U-Track students take a series of ESL courses that prepare them for full-time study at the UA or another US institution. Undergraduate U-Track students are enrolled in courses through CESL and fulfill UA's minimum English language proficiency requirement upon successful completion of two 8-week sessions in the Undergraduate U-Track.

Top 3 reasons to join the Undergraduate University Track

  • Students who successfully complete the 2-session program can matriculate to the University of Arizona without a TOEFL or IELTS score!
  • Undergraduate U-Track students take University of Arizona courses and can earn up to 6 credits.
  • Undergraduate U-Track students pay reduced university tuition while in the U-Track!

INTENSIVE ENGLISH PROGRAM

CESL’s Intensive English Program has classes for beginner to advanced students. Students come from approximately 35 countries and study more than 22 hours a week with a master teacher. CESL has the only Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) accredited Intensive English Program in Arizona.

All courses are eight weeks long unless specified otherwise. Students in the full-time Intensive English Program (IEP) must take two integrated-skills core classes (Oral Communication and Written Communication) and two skills courses (Grammar and Reading Skills).

CESL students are placed by proficiency level into their courses. We try within the proficiency level to diversify the student groups by native language as much possible.
